Creative Corporate Team Bonding with Mrs red's art room

In today’s fast-paced corporate world, where meetings, keynotes and strategy sessions fill the agenda, businesses are constantly seeking new ways to keep their teams inspired and connected. When employees are engaged and energised, they collaborate better, communicate more openly and bring renewed creativity back to their roles. That’s where Mrs Red’s art room steps in — offering a refreshing and memorable alternative to the traditional conference breakout session.

A creative break the recharges the mind

After sitting through a morning of presentations or data-heavy sessions, your team deserves a mental refresh — something that sparks laughter, curiosity and creativity. Mrs Red’s art room delivers exactly that with interactive art-based breakout sessions designed to bring people together in a relaxed and uplifting environment.

Whether your event is being held on the Gold Coast or in Brisbane, Mrs Red brings everything needed to transform a standard conference room into a creative hub — with no mess and no fuss. These sessions require no prior art experience and can be seamlessly integrated into your AGM, annual conference or professional development day.

Option One: One-Hour "Art Games" Breakout Session

Perfect for conferences or corporate days that need a short, high-energy creative interlude, the Art Games session is a crowd favourite. Over the course of one hour, participants dive into a series of fun, laughter-filled activities that help colleagues see each other in a whole new light.

The session features:
• Group Drawing Challenges: Teams receive paper and a photo reference and have 1 minute to start the sketch. Then image and drawing passed to next person to continue for another minute, until drawing comes back to person who began.
• Mystery Celebrity Portraits: This one is harder to explain but at the end of the drawing, everyone has actually drawn a portrait of a well known celebrity. They surprise themselves that they actually drew a realistic graphite portrait.
• Blind Contour Portraits: To end the session, this very funny art exercise has colleagues draw each other without looking at their paper. It breaks down self-consciousness, encourages genuine connection and results in some very entertaining artworks.

These “Art Games” encourage creativity, build confidence and get everyone laughing — the perfect antidote to long stretches of conference content. It’s an instant morale boost that strengthens team bonding and leaves participants re-energised for the rest of the day.

Option Two: Two-hour "Untangle with Watercolour" Session

For conferences with a little more flexibility in the schedule, the two-hour “Untangle with Watercolour” workshop offers a deeper, more reflective experience — while still being light-hearted and accessible to all skill levels.

“Untangle with Watercolour” is one of Mrs Red’s signature experiences, loved by both beginners and seasoned creatives alike. Participants are guided step-by-step through a simple and calming watercolour painting process that allows them to unwind and express themselves. Once their painting is complete, they add their own doodle details using fine-line waterproof pens, turning each artwork into a unique keepsake.

The best part? Everyone takes home an artwork worthy of framing — a tangible reminder of the day’s creativity and connection. This workshop has become a favourite for teams looking to combine mindfulness with artistic exploration. It’s perfect for conferences focused on wellbeing, leadership, innovation or creative problem-solving. And yes, men enjoy this exercise just as much as women!

The benefits of a creative breakout session

Corporate art experiences aren’t just fun — they deliver genuine benefits to workplace culture and performance:
• Encourages Team Connection: Shared creative challenges foster collaboration and laughter, helping colleagues bond on a personal level.
• Boosts Mental Wellbeing: Art-making reduces stress and promotes mindfulness, leaving participants calmer and more focused.
• Stimulates Innovation: Thinking visually helps people approach problems differently and sparks new ideas.
• Improves Communication: When teams create together, they naturally build trust and empathy — key ingredients for effective teamwork.
• Creates Memorable Experiences: Attendees will remember your conference not for its PowerPoints, but for its moments of creative joy.

In short, a Mrs Red’s art room breakout session turns an ordinary corporate event into something extraordinary.
